About This Role:
As the Senior Manager for Value and Access in Brazil, you will play a pivotal role within Biogen's Market Access team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute reimbursement strategies that support Biogen's portfolio in Brazil. You will provide strategic vision and tactical expertise in crafting negotiation strategies, innovative access schemes, and value materials. Your role will involve engaging with various external stakeholders to ensure successful reimbursement submissions and diagnostics pathway alignment. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will shape commercialization strategies, ensuring seamless integration into Brazil's healthcare environment. This position is crucial for advancing Biogen's mission and enhancing patient access to our treatments within the region.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support development of market access communication strategy for public and private payers. Support and develop tools and evidence needed.

  • Partner with Brazil’s affiliate counterparts to ensure alignment to global/regional policies across the region.

  • Provide direction to the local Value and Access team on key priorities for in-market preparation for successful P&R processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional members (commercial, medical, digital, CMI etc.) to ensure development of commercialization strategic imperatives and operational plans for successful local launches.

  • Drive and coordinate strategic direction of regional and national-level policy activities to positively shape the environment for Biogen brands, in collaboration with Public Affairs and Government Affairs.

  • Act as a core member of Biogen’s Global Value and Access team.

  • Support national pricing and market access processes for Biogen’s portfolio, ensuring strategies anticipate changes in the competitive environment, healthcare systems, or policies.

  • Align country market access needs and timelines with corporate annual planning processes, supporting payer submissions with necessary documentation.

  • Provide training for regional and affiliate counterparts on market access materials and capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration within Brazil Value and Access and Affiliates.

  • Develop and deliver market access tools for affiliates to secure pricing, reimbursement, and access for current and future products.

Who You Are:

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in market access, HTA, reimbursement, and public affairs within the pharmaceuticals industry.

  • Prior launch experience in a market access capacity.

  • Experience in developing tools for HTA country submissions, such as cost-effectiveness models and budget impact models.

  • Strong technical understanding of pricing, reimbursement, and access, with a demonstrated track record.

  • Sound knowledge of local healthcare systems and pricing and reimbursement requirements.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects and external vendors.

  • A flexible and collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with different functions and leading workstreams in a matrix organization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Higher-level degree (MBA, MPA, MPH) and/or post-graduate education in health economics.
